Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix the marinade: In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine balsamic vinegar, olive oil, honey, minced garlic, dried oregano, and dried thyme.
  2. Whisk the ingredients together until well blended.
  3. Season the marinade with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Prepare the chicken: Place chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish.
  5. Marinate peacefully: Pour the marinade over chicken, ensuring each piece is coated. Seal bag tightly or cover dish with plastic wrap.
  6. Chill out: Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2 to 4 hours.
  7. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  8. Bring to room temperature: Remove chicken from the refrigerator and let sit for 10-15 minutes.
  9. Prepare the baking dish: Line a baking dish with aluminum foil or parchment paper, greasing it with olive oil.
  10. Arrange the chicken: Place marinated chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
  11. Add the remaining marinade over chicken.
  12. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  13. Rest the chicken for 5-10 minutes after baking.
  14. Slice the chicken into thick pieces for serving.
  15. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
  16. Enjoy the meal!

Notes
