Deliciously fudgy and chewy brownies that evoke nostalgia and warmth, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan generously with butter or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter completely in a bowl and stir in the granulated and brown sugars until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. If using, fold in chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  7. Let cool in the pan before slicing into squares.

Notes

For extra gooeyness, add chocolate chips. For variations, you can use different types of chocolate or add nuts.
