A delightful Cheesy Tuna Melt filled with sautéed fresh tuna, sharp cheddar cheese, and toasted sourdough, perfect for a cozy meal.

Ingredients

  • Fresh tuna chunks
  • Sourdough bread
  • Sharp cheddar cheese
  • Herbs (e.g., dill, parsley)
  • Spices (e.g., salt, pepper)
  • Butter (for toasting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season your fresh tuna chunks with herbs and a dash of salt and pepper.
  3. Sauté the seasoned tuna for about 3-4 minutes until cooked through.
  4. Butter one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
  5. Layer one slice in the skillet, butter side down, and add the sautéed tuna and cheddar cheese.
  6. Assemble the sandwich with the second slice of bread, butter side up.
  7. Toast until the bottom is golden brown, then flip and cook the other side until crispy and the cheese is melted.
  8. Slice and serve your Cheesy Tuna Melt.

Notes

Enjoy with a side of pickles or a salad. For a heartier meal, serve with tomato soup. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
