A delightful tuna salad recipe that captures the nostalgic taste of sunny picnics, featuring a creamy and tangy flavor balance.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (6 oz each) of premium, freshly flaked tuna, drained
  • 1/2 cup of real mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup of finely chopped celery
  • 2 tablespoons of finely chopped red onion
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • A pinch of dried oregano or a proprietary blend of secret seasonings

Instructions

  1. Begin by draining the two cans of premium, freshly flaked tuna.
  2. Next, finely chop 1/4 cup of celery and 2 tablespoons of red onion.
  3. Lastly, juice a fresh lemon until you have one tablespoon ready.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, real mayonnaise, and Dijon mustard.
  5. Add in your finely chopped celery and red onion.
  6. Pour in the fresh lemon juice, then sprinkle on garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste.
  7. Mix all the ingredients together until well combined and evenly seasoned.
  8. Cover your bowl with a lid or plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least an hour.
  9. After chilling, give it a final stir to refresh the mixture.
  10. Serve the tuna salad as a filling for a sandwich, on garden salad, or as a wrap filling.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
