Decadent Tiramisu Brownies combine rich brownies with layers of creamy mascarpone and espresso-soaked ladyfingers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup brown butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup strong brewed espresso, cooled
  • 1 package ladyfingers
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the brown butter and granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt, then fold it into the butter mixture gently.
  5. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
  7. Soak the ladyfingers in the cooled espresso until soft.
  8. Whip the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
  9. Layer the soaked ladyfingers on top of the cooled brownies, followed by the mascarpone cream.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving. Dust with cocoa powder before slicing.

Notes

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Brown butter should be amber and nutty, and avoid soaking ladyfingers too long.
