A fudgy brownie cake topped with a rich chocolate ganache, perfect for any celebration.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter and chocolate in a saucepan over low heat.
  2. Stir in the sugar until well-combined.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  4. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  8. Cool for 15 minutes, then make ganache with heavy cream and dark chocolate.
  9. Frost the cake with ganache and slice into squares.

Notes

For fudgier brownies, reduce the baking time slightly. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
