A delightful pasta dish featuring creamy sauce and smoky salmon, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces spaghetti or fettuccine
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup smoked salmon (cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 1 tablespoon capers (drained)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional for serving)
  • Lemon wedges (for garnish)
  • Fresh dill sprigs (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook your spaghetti or fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain, reserving a cup of pasta water for later.
  2. Sauté the Garlic: In the same pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Gently sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Create the Creamy Base: Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine, and bring it to a gentle simmer.
  4. Add the Salmon and Capers: Once the cream is heated through, add the bite-sized pieces of smoked salmon and capers. Gently fold them into the sauce to warm through.
  5. Mix in the Pasta: Add the cooked pasta into the sauce and toss to coat. Use reserved pasta water to thin the sauce if needed.
  6. Season and Garnish: Stir in the fresh dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste. Serve immediately, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese, lemon wedges, and fresh dill sprigs.

Notes
