A comforting slow cooker recipe for tender Mississippi beef cubed steaks that practically fall apart, enriched with flavorful au jus and ranch seasoning, and a zing of pepperoncini.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 pieces cubed steaks
  • 1 ounce au jus gravy packet
  • 1 ounce ranch seasoning packet
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 6 pieces pepperoncini peppers

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Slow Cooker: Grease the inside of your slow cooker with a little cooking spray or butter to prevent the steaks from sticking.
  2. Season the Steaks: Take the flavorful cubed steaks and season them lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. Place the Steaks in the Slow Cooker: Lay the seasoned cubed steaks in the bottom of the slow cooker, ensuring they’re evenly spread out.
  4. Add the Flavor Boosters: Sprinkle the au jus gravy mix and ranch seasoning over the steaks.
  5. Pour in Water: Carefully pour 1/3 cup of water over the steaks.
  6. Add the Unsalted Butter: Slice the unsalted butter into pieces and scatter them on top of the ingredients.
  7. Add the Pepperoncini: Nestle the pepperoncini peppers onto the top of the mixture.
  8. Cover and Cook: Put the lid on the slow cooker, set it to low, and let it cook for about 8 hours.
  9. Serve and Enjoy: Once done, serve your beef cubed steaks warm over rice, mashed potatoes, or with crusty bread.
