Ingredients
Scale
1 lb Ground Beef (Can substitute with ground turkey or lentils for a lighter option.)
1 tbsp Olive Oil (Optional if using lean beef.)
1 small Onion, finely chopped
2 cloves Garlic, minced
1 oz Taco Seasoning
6 cups Tortilla Chips
2 cups Cheddar Cheese, shredded
1 cup Black Beans, drained and rinsed
1 cup Salsa
1 piece Jalapeño, sliced (Optional.)
1 cup Guacamole (Can substitute with sour cream.)
1 cup Sour Cream
1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro, chopped (Can replace with green onions or omit.)
Instructions
Sauté the Onion and Garlic: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, add onion, and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
Cook the Ground Beef: Increase heat to medium-high and add ground beef. Cook until browned, around 6-8 minutes.
Season the Meat: Sprinkle taco seasoning over the cooked beef, stirring well. Add a splash of water if too dry.
Prepare the Sheet Pan: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and spread tortilla chips on a large, rimmed baking sheet.
Layer the Nachos: Spoon the beef mixture evenly over chips, then sprinkle on black beans and cheddar cheese.
Bake the Nachos: Bake in preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish the Nachos: Top with salsa, jalapeños, guacamole, sour cream, and cilantro.
Serve and Enjoy: Gather around to dig in and enjoy your nachos!
