Buttery Pecan Pie Brownies

A delightful blend of chewy brownies and the buttery sweetness of pecan pie, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter and mix in granulated sugar and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt in another bowl. Gradually add this mixture to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  6. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  7. Prepare the topping by whisking together corn syrup and the remaining vanilla extract, then pour it over the brownie batter.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until set. A toothpick inserted should come out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Cool completely before cutting into bars and serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. Refrigerate for up to a week or freeze for up to 3 months.
