Transform the flavors of a classic dessert into delicious, baked donuts topped with cream cheese glaze and fresh strawberries.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced
  • Sugar for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a donut pan thoroughly.
  2. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  3. Whisk together egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract in another bowl.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Prepare the glaze by mixing softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  8. Dip the tops of the cooled donuts in the glaze and let excess drip off.
  9. Sprinkle with sliced strawberries and sugar, allowing the glaze to set before serving.

Notes

These donuts can be served with whipped cream or ice cream for an extra indulgence. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
