An easy-to-make Moroccan dish that combines juicy chicken thighs with flavorful harissa marinade, perfect for impressing dinner guests.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons harissa paste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Mix the Marinade: In a bowl, combine harissa paste, olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, cumin, paprika, and lemon juice.
  2. Coat the Chicken: Coat the chicken thighs thoroughly with the marinade.
  3. Marinate: Cover the marinated chicken and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  4. Preheat the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Grill the Chicken: Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.
  6. Rest the Chicken: Remove from heat and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Always taste as you go! Adjust the seasoning to match your preference. For a milder version, mix harissa with yogurt.
