Sautéed Green Beans with Garlic and Almonds

A simple and delightful side dish of sautéed green beans with garlic and toasted almonds, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Begin by trimming the ends of the green beans.
  2. Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large pan.
  3. Add minced garlic to the pan and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Toss in the green beans and sauté for 4-5 minutes until tender but still crisp.
  5. Stir in the sliced almonds and lemon zest, cooking for an additional minute.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat by sautéing.
