Creamy Stovetop Mac and Cheese

A quick and easy version of classic mac and cheese that captures comfort and nostalgia, ready in just 15 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni (200 grams)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup milk (120 ml)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (150 grams)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni in a pot of salted boiling water until al dente, then drain.
  2. Return the drained macaroni to the pot.
  3. Add butter to the hot macaroni and stir until melted.
  4. Pour in the milk and stir gently to heat.
  5. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese gradually until melted.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For extra creaminess, add cream cheese or Parmesan. Can include add-ins like crispy bacon or vegetables.
