This rich chocolate cheesecake marries the lusciousness of chocolate with creamy cheesecake, creating an irresistible dessert perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups (150 g) chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1/4 cup (60 g) melted butter
  • 900 g cream cheese
  • 1 cup (200 g) sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 eggs
  • 200 g dark chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 160°C.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crumbs with the melted butter.
  3. Press this mixture firmly into the base of a springform pan to create a solid crust.
  4. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes.
  5. Let it cool completely while you prepare the filling.
  6. Beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer until creamy and smooth.
  7. Mix in the sugar and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  8. Add the eggs to the mixture one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  9. Fold in the melted dark chocolate and heavy cream until silky smooth.
  10. Pour the filling into the cooled crust, spreading it evenly.
  11. Return the cheesecake to the oven and bake for 55–65 minutes.
  12. Once baked, allow it to cool completely at room temperature.
  13. Refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

Serve with whipped cream, fresh berries, or chocolate sauce for an extra touch. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
