Mini Molten Lava Cakes

Rich and gooey mini molten lava cakes that impress with their chocolatey center and are quick to make in just 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 4 oz dark chocolate
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Grease four ramekins generously with butter or non-stick spray.
  3. Melt the butter and dark chocolate together in a medium heatproof bowl in the microwave.
  4. Whisk in the sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until the mixture is glossy.
  5. Fold in the flour until fully combined.
  6. Spoon the batter evenly into the prepared ramekins, filling them about three-quarters full.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are firm but the center is soft.
  8. Cool slightly, invert onto plates, and serve immediately.

Notes

For an extra flavor boost, consider adding espresso powder or orange zest. Serve with vanilla ice cream or fresh berries.
