A comforting and creamy chicken and wild rice bowl that is quick to prepare, making it perfect for busy evenings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup wild rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 lb chicken breast, diced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the wild rice in chicken broth according to the package instructions.
  2. Sauté the chicken in olive oil over medium-high heat until browned and cooked through.
  3. Season the chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Create the creamy sauce by pouring heavy cream into the pan with the seasoned chicken and simmering for about 5 minutes.
  5. Combine the creamy chicken sauce with the cooked wild rice and serve warm.

Notes

Rinse wild rice before cooking for a fluffier texture. Add a splash of chicken broth while reheating leftovers to loosen the sauce.
