20-Minute Shrimp Lemon Herb Angel Hair

A light, zesty pasta dish perfect for summer evenings, featuring succulent shrimp, aromatic herbs, and a bright lemon sauce.

  • 8 oz angel hair pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the angel hair pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute, until fragrant and golden.
  3. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until they turn pink and opaque.
  4. Stir in lemon zest, lemon juice, chopped parsley, basil, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix well to combine and release those amazing aromas.
  5. Toss the cooked angel hair pasta with the shrimp and herb mixture in the skillet until everything is beautifully combined.
  6. Serve immediately, garnishing with more fresh herbs or a sprinkle of lemon zest if desired.

Notes

For a heartier option, serve with garlic bread or a side of grilled vegetables.
