Irresistible Three Cheese Mac and Cheese

A creamy, cheesy dish that feels like a warm hug, combining cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan for an irresistible comfort food classic. Ready in just 30 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni (200 grams)
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded (100 grams)
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded (100 grams)
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated (50 grams)
  • 2 cups milk (480 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the elbow macaroni according to the package instructions. Don’t forget to drain it afterward; no one likes soggy pasta!
  2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  3. Create the roux by sprinkling in the flour and stirring it into the melted butter. Cook for about 1 minute.
  4. Whisk in the milk gradually while stirring as it cooks.
  5. Add the cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan cheeses and stir until melted.
  6. Season the cheese sauce with salt and pepper.
  7. Mix the cheese sauce with the cooked pasta until every elbow is coated.
  8. Bake in a baking dish at 350°F (175°C) for about 25 minutes until bubbling and golden.

Notes

For a crunchy topping, sprinkle breadcrumbs mixed with melted butter before baking. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
