A delightful fusion of moist banana bread and rich brownies topped with chocolate glaze, perfect for using overripe bananas.

Ingredients

  • 3 overripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chocolate glaze (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. Mix the mashed bananas and melted butter together until combined.
  3. Stir in the sugar, then add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth out the top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool in the pan, then drizzle with chocolate glaze before cutting into squares.

Notes

Ensure your bananas are truly ripe for the best flavor. You can use different types of chocolate chips for variation.
