A simple yet elegant grilled shrimp recipe marinated in a flavorful mix of olive oil, soy sauce, lime juice, and spices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Whisk together the marinade: In a bowl, whisk together the olive oil, soy sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, paprika, chili powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper until well combined.
  2. Marinate the shrimp: Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill: While the shrimp are soaking up flavor, preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Skewer the shrimp: Once marinated, thread shrimp onto skewers. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes beforehand.
  5. Grill the shrimp: Place the shrimp skewers on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until pink and opaque.
  6. Serve immediately: Remove shrimp from the grill and serve as an appetizer, in tacos, or over salads.

Notes

For perfectly grilled shrimp, don’t overcrowd the skewers to allow for even cooking and better char marks.
