A comforting and hearty Cheesy Baked Tortellini Casserole with meat sauce, perfect for family dinners and gatherings.

  • 1 (20 oz) container of refrigerated or frozen cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 (24 oz) jar of pasta sauce
  • 8 oz cream cheese (cubed)
  • 12 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated or shredded parmesan
  • Seasoning to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta a la dente according to the package directions; drain and set aside.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350° F and grease a 9×13 baking dish to prevent sticking.
  3. Brown the ground beef with your choice of seasonings in a large skillet.
  4. Incorporate the tomato sauce and cream cheese into the beef, simmering until blended and creamy.
  5. Combine the cooked tortellini with the sauce mixture, ensuring all pasta is well coated.
  6. Pour the mixture into the greased casserole dish, spreading it evenly.
  7. Add shredded mozzarella and parmesan on top for a cheesy crust.
  8. Bake uncovered for about 20 minutes, then broil for an additional 2-3 minutes until browned.
  9. Serve once cooled slightly, and enjoy with a side salad or garlic bread.

Notes

To avoid a dry casserole, do not skip the cream cheese. Feel free to add veggies for extra nutrition without sacrificing taste.
