Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta

A comforting and creamy pasta dish featuring tender chicken, crispy bacon, and a delicious ranch-style sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 6 strips bacon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 small boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups uncooked rotini pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 2 cups half and half
  • 2 tablespoons dry ranch dressing seasoning mix

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a large skillet over low heat until crispy. Set aside, reserving drippings.
  2. Prepare the chicken by slicing and seasoning it with salt, pepper, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Sear it in the reserved drippings until cooked.
  3. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the rotini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  4. Make the sauce by melting butter and sautéing garlic in the same skillet. Add flour and whisk in half and half, stirring until thickened. Mix in ranch seasoning and cheese until smooth.
  5. Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce, then fold in chicken and top with bacon before serving.

Notes

For a creamy touch, reserve some cheese to sprinkle on top before serving. This dish can be adapted with vegetables or can be made gluten-free by using suitable substitutes.
