A homemade version of the iconic Cheesecake Factory Crusted Chicken Romano, featuring crispy chicken, a rich creamy sauce, and delicious Italian flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 teaspoons dried Italian herbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Romano cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix together the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, Italian herbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl.
  3. Prepare a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, another with beaten eggs, and the last with the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken breasts for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Transfer the seared chicken to a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  7. Heat heavy cream in a saucepan and stir in the grated Romano cheese until melted and smooth.
  8. Serve the chicken with the sauce drizzled on top and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

For extra crispiness, consider baking the chicken on a wire rack placed in the baking dish. You can substitute half-and-half for a lighter sauce if desired.
