  • 1 cup brown butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Mix together the melted brown butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the buttermilk.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool the bars completely in the pan before glazing.
  9. Whisk the maple syrup and powdered sugar together until smooth for the glaze.
  10. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled donut bars and cut into squares.
