  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese
  • 4 Sandwich rolls
  • 1 Onion (chopped)
  • 1 Bell pepper (chopped)
  • 1 cup Lettuce
  • 1 Tomato (sliced)
  • ½ cup Zesty salsa
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Sauté the vegetables: In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and bell pepper, sautéing until softened.
  2. Cook the ground beef: Add ground beef to the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
  3. Layer the sandwich: Layer the cooked beef mixture on sandwich rolls, topping with cheddar cheese, and placing under the broiler until the cheese is bubbly.
  4. Add fresh toppings: Add fresh lettuce, sliced tomato, and a generous spoonful of salsa before closing the sandwich.
  5. Serve immediately: Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Make sure to drain any excess fat from the ground beef after cooking for a less greasy sandwich. You can toast the sandwich rolls for extra crunch.
