A quick and simple dish featuring shrimp sautéed in a zesty lemon and garlic sauce, perfect for weeknight dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until it shimmers.
  2. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant and slightly golden.
  3. Introduce the shrimp to the skillet, seasoning generously with salt and pepper. Cook until the shrimp are pink and cooked through, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Pour in the lemon juice and stir to combine, allowing the flavors to meld.
  5. Remove from heat, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

Be careful not to overcook the shrimp; they only need a few minutes to turn pink and opaque!
