A flaky, buttery pastry filled with sweetened cream cheese and fresh strawberries, perfect for brunch or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 package of puff pastry
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface until smooth, then cut into squares.
  3. Mix the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth.
  4. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square; top with sliced strawberries.
  5. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and pinch to seal.
  6. Brush the tops with beaten egg to achieve a shiny finish.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
