A simple and comforting dessert made with fresh strawberries and cake mix, perfect for family gatherings and summer picnics.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup sugar (optional)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Layer the sliced strawberries evenly in a baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the cake mix over the strawberries.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix.
  5. Pour water over the entire mixture.
  6. Add sugar and vanilla extract for optional sweetness.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Pairs beautifully with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
