A delightful dish that elevates asparagus with a tangy balsamic glaze, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb asparagus
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Trim the tough ends off the asparagus and rinse under cold water.
  3. Toss the asparagus with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Arrange the seasoned asparagus in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  5. Roast for 12-15 minutes, until tender and lightly browned.
  6. Combine balsamic vinegar and honey in a small saucepan and simmer over medium heat for 3-4 minutes.
  7. Remove the asparagus from the oven, transfer to a serving platter, and drizzle the balsamic glaze over the top.

Notes

For added crunch, consider slivered almonds or toasted pine nuts. Substitute balsamic with red wine vinegar if needed.
