A simple and flavorful baked chicken breast recipe using minimal ingredients.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 2 lbs total), pounded to even thickness
  • ¾ cup Italian salad dressing (store-bought or homemade)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Garlic powder, to taste
  • Onion powder, to taste
  • Paprika, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish by lightly spraying it with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in the baking dish, ensuring they are pounded to even thickness.
  4. Drizzle the Italian dressing evenly over the chicken.
  5. Sprinkle with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika to taste.
  6. Flip each piece of chicken to ensure full coating in the dressing and seasonings.
  7. Arrange the chicken breasts in a single layer in the baking pan.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the thickest part of the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  9. Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing or serving.

Notes

Ensure chicken breasts are of even thickness for uniform cooking and don’t skip the resting period for juiciness.
