A cool, creamy dip that blends cucumber, garlic, and dill, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 small garlic clove, peeled
  • A very small piece of red onion, peeled
  • 1 piece of cucumber (about 45 inches, roughly ¾ cup grated)
  • 12 sprigs fresh dill, finely chopped (about 2 teaspoons)
  • 2 cups Greek yogurt (full-fat recommended)
  • Salt, to taste
  • 12 teaspoons fresh lemon juice, to taste

Instructions

  1. Grate the garlic using a box grater until it forms a paste. Transfer it to a medium bowl.
  2. Grate the red onion the same way to yield about ½ teaspoon of grated onion and its juice. Add it to the bowl.
  3. Grate the cucumber until you have about ¾ cup. Add it to the mixture.
  4. Stir in the chopped dill and Greek yogurt. Season with salt and mix until well combined.
  5. Add 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice, taste, and adjust with more lemon juice if desired.
  6. Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate for up to 5 days.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor, especially dill and lemon juice. Squeeze excess moisture from the cucumber if too watery.
