This Asian pork tenderloin is marinated in a rich blend of soy sauce, hoisin, and honey, creating a beautiful glaze that enhances the pork’s natural flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 to 2 pounds pork tenderloin
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Whisk together the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and Sriracha to create a flavorful marinade.
  3. Place the pork tenderloin in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it, ensuring it’s fully coated. Seal the bag or cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
  4. Remove the pork from the marinade and let it sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes. Reserve the marinade for later use.
  5. Sear the pork in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat for about 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.
  6. Pour the reserved marinade over the seared pork and transfer the skillet to the oven. Roast for about 15-20 minutes until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C), basting halfway through.
  7. Let the pork rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
  8. Slice the pork into medallions and serve on a platter, drizzling with remaining sauce and garnishing with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For maximum flavor, marinate the pork overnight. Use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness.
