A delightful fusion of classic pizza flavors in a handheld quesadilla form, combining melted mozzarella, savory pepperoni, and fresh basil.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 count flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and brush one side of a tortilla with olive oil.
  2. Place the tortilla oil-side down in the skillet and spread 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce evenly on top.
  3. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of mozzarella over the sauce, followed by a generous layer of pepperoni.
  4. Add a pinch of Italian seasoning, then a sprinkle of Parmesan and fresh basil.
  5. Top with a second tortilla and gently press down with a spatula.
  6. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the bottom tortilla is golden brown and the cheese starts to melt.
  7. Carefully flip the quesadilla and cook another 2 to 3 minutes until golden and crispy.
  8. Remove from the skillet, let it rest for a minute, then slice into wedges and serve immediately.

Notes

Use a non-stick skillet for easy flipping. Try different fillings for variety.
