Ingredients

Scale
  • 7 oz (200 g) feta cheese, well-drained
  • 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 3 tbsp plain Greek yogurt (full-fat preferred)
  • 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for drizzling
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest, finely grated
  • 1 small garlic clove, very finely minced or grated
  • 1–2 tsp honey, to taste
  • 1/4 tsp ground cumin (optional, for warmth)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate arils (seeds)
  • 1/3 cup shelled pistachios, roughly chopped
  • 1–2 tbsp fresh mint leaves, finely chopped (or parsley)
  • 1–2 tsp honey, for drizzling
  • 1–2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil, for drizzling
  • Pinch of flaky sea salt (optional)
  • Toasted pita bread, pita chips, crostini, or crusty bread
  • Fresh veggie sticks (cucumber, carrot, bell pepper, radishes)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dairy Base: Begin by placing the feta cheese in a bowl and crumbling it with a fork. Rinse if too salty.
  2. Soften and Combine: Add the crumbled feta, softened cream cheese, and Greek yogurt. Let sit at room temperature.
  3. Flavor the Dip: Add olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, honey, and cumin. Season with pepper.
  4. Blend Until Creamy: Mix by hand or use a food processor until smooth with tiny bits of feta remaining.
  5. Taste and Adjust: Sweeten with more honey or brightness with lemon juice as needed. Adjust seasoning.
  6. Adjust Consistency: Add Greek yogurt or water for thickness; chill to firm if too loose.
  7. Chill the Dip: Transfer to a serving bowl, smooth the top, cover, and refrigerate for 30-45 minutes.
  8. Prepare the Toppings: Remove arils from pomegranate and chop pistachios and mint.
  9. Assemble Before Serving: Scatter pomegranate arils, pistachios, and mint over the dip before serving.
  10. Finish with Drizzles: Drizzle honey and olive oil, sprinkle with flaky sea salt and pepper.
  11. Serve immediately with toasted pita or veggie sticks.
