Banana Split Dump Cake

A warm and gooey dessert that captures the joy of a classic banana split in an easy-to-make cake.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 can crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 1 cup maraschino cherries, drained
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded coconut (optional)
  • 1 cup chocolate syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, spread the sliced bananas evenly.
  3. Pour the crushed pineapple over the bananas, spreading it evenly.
  4. Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the pineapple layer.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the cake mix.
  6. Add chocolate syrup, walnuts, cherries, and coconut on top as desired.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

Use overripe bananas for the best flavor. Feel free to mix and match toppings according to your preference. Be cautious not to overbake for a gooey center.
