A nostalgic dessert featuring a creamy, gooey cake with caramelized pecans, perfect for any gathering.

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter and cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Gradually add in the powdered sugar, flour, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  4. Stir in the chopped pecans.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes, until the edges are golden and the center is set.
  7. Allow to cool before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an extra treat. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
