Easy Mango Strawberry Agua Fresca

A delicious and refreshing blend of ripe mangoes and strawberries, perfect for hot summer days.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped ripe mangoes
  • 1.5 to 2 cups hulled fresh strawberries
  • 2 cups filtered water (divided)
  • 12 tablespoons sweetener (optional, e.g., agave nectar, honey, or simple syrup)
  • Fresh lime juice (to taste)
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Fruit: Peel the mangoes, remove the pit, and chop the flesh into chunks. Hull the strawberries and rinse them under cold water.
  2. Blend the Mango Base: Place the chopped mango into a blender, add 1 cup of water and sweetener (if using). Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Blend the Strawberry Base: In the same blender, add hulled strawberries, another cup of water, and sweetener (if using). Blend until smooth.
  4. Combine and Adjust Consistency: Pour strawberry puree into the pitcher with mango puree. Gradually add more water until you reach desired consistency.
  5. Season to Perfection: Taste your agua fresca and adjust sweetness with more sweetener if needed. Add fresh lime juice and a pinch of salt.
  6. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. Pour over ice in glasses.

Notes

Can mix in sparkling water for a bubbly experience. Store leftovers for up to 3 days in an airtight container.
