Rich, creamy, and delightfully sweet, this American Buttercream Frosting is perfect for cakes, cupcakes, and cookies.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 24 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Cream the butter in a large bowl until creamy.
  2. Mix in the powdered sugar gradually on low speed.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
  4. Achieve desired consistency by gradually adding milk.
  5. Whip on high speed for 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy.
  6. Frost cakes, cupcakes, or cookies immediately.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Let sit at room temperature before using.
