Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, cooking until golden brown and aromatic, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Cool the brown butter slightly to prevent the frosting from becoming too runny.
  3. Combine the powdered sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt in a mixing bowl.
  4. Mix in the slightly cooled brown butter and beat until smooth and creamy.
  5. Frost your favorite cakes, cupcakes, or dessert bars with the frosting.
