Chocolate Raspberry Tart

A rich chocolate ganache nestled in a flaky pastry shell, topped with vibrant raspberries.

Ingredients

  • 1 tart shell (store-bought or homemade)
  • 200g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 200ml heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the tart shell. Preheat the oven and bake according to package directions for store-bought or prepare the homemade shell. Let it cool.
  2. Heat the cream in a saucepan over medium heat until it just begins to simmer.
  3. Melt the chocolate by pouring the hot cream over the chopped chocolate in a bowl and letting it sit for a few minutes.
  4. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  5. Add the butter and mix until combined to create a silky ganache.
  6. Fill the cooled tart shell with the chocolate ganache and smooth the top with a spatula.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours until firm to the touch.
  8. Add fresh raspberries on top and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
  9. Slice and serve chilled, relishing every rich, fruity bite.

Notes

Pairs well with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Can be made a day in advance.
