Delicious and customizable cake pops, perfect for any occasion, that bring joy and sweetness to gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 box cake mix
  • 1 cup frosting
  • Chocolate or candy coating
  • Sprinkles (optional)
  • Lollipop sticks

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven and bake the cake according to the package instructions. Once the timer’s up, resist the urge to cut into the warm cake – let it cool completely first!
  2. Crumble the cooled cake into a large mixing bowl.
  3. Grab your frosting and fold it into the cake crumbs until they’re well combined.
  4. Use your hands to form small balls with the cake mixture, roughly the size of a tablespoon.
  5. Pop the baking sheet into the freezer for about 30 minutes.
  6. While waiting, melt your chocolate or candy coating according to the package instructions.
  7. Gently insert the stick into each chilled cake ball, then coat each cake pop in the melted chocolate.
  8. Insert the finished cake pops upright into a styrofoam block or a cake pop stand to harden.

Notes

Use a small cookie scoop for even-sized cake balls. If your coating is thick, add a little vegetable oil to thin it out.
