A simple and delightful chocolate fudge recipe that brings nostalgic warmth and joy.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, butter, and milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly for about 5 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips until melted and smooth.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and nuts if using, mixing well.
  4. Pour into a greased 8×8 inch pan and let it cool at room temperature until set, about 2 hours.
  5. Once cooled and set, cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week, or refrigerate for up to two weeks.
