Deliciously crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, these churro bites are coated in sweet cinnamon sugar, making them the perfect treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine water, butter, and salt. Bring to a boil.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in flour until a ball forms.
  3. Let it cool for a few minutes.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time until the mixture is smooth and shiny.
  5. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Use a pastry bag to pipe small rounds of dough into the hot oil.
  7. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes; remove and drain on paper towels.
  8. In a bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon; roll churro bites in the mixture.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy the sweet, scrumptious bites with your loved ones!

Notes

Ensure the oil is at the correct temperature for the best frying results. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
