Delightful choux pastry filled with whipped cream and drizzled with chocolate sauce, perfect for any gathering.

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Chocolate sauce (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat with the water.
  3. Stir in the flour and salt until a smooth dough forms.
  4. Transfer the dough to a bowl and let cool slightly.
  5. Beat in the eggs one at a time until smooth and glossy.
  6. Pipe small mounds of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool the baked profiteroles completely on a wire rack.
  9. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  10. Fill the profiteroles with whipped cream and replace the tops.
  11. Drizzle with chocolate sauce before serving.
