Delightful cream puffs filled with luscious whipped cream, perfect for any dessert table.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for filling)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine water and butter in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  3. Add flour and salt, stirring until the mixture pulls away from the sides.
  4. Remove from heat and let it cool for about 5 minutes.
  5. Beat in the eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.
  6. Drop dollops of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and puffed.
  8. Whip the heavy cream with sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  9. Cut the tops off the cooled puffs and fill with whipped cream.
  10. Dust with powdered sugar and serve.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh; can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
