A flavorful one-skillet meal combining smoky sausage and succulent shrimp with vibrant spices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound sausage, sliced (Andouille works beautifully)
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat the pan: In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Brown the sausage: Add the sausage slices, cooking them until they’re beautifully browned.
  3. Sauté the aromatics: Add the chopped onion, diced bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until they soften, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Cook the shrimp: Add the peeled shrimp along with the Cajun seasoning. Cook until the shrimp turns pink, about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Taste and season: Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to your liking.
  6. Garnish and serve: Finish with chopped green onions, serve hot, and enjoy!

Notes

Pairs well with rice or a fresh side salad. Leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days.
