A delightful combination of savory and slightly sweet flavors, these Korean Beef Bowls feature tender beef over fluffy rice, topped with fresh green onions and sesame seeds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • Cooked rice for serving
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Browning the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Break it up with your spatula for even cooking. Drain excess fat.
  2. Mixing the Flavors: Add soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and ginger to the skillet. Stir well and cook for another 3-4 minutes until heated through.
  3. Final Assembly: Serve beef over cooked rice, garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

Adjust brown sugar based on your sweetness preference. Ground turkey or chicken can be used for a leaner option.
