Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (optional, for heat)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Bang Bang Sauce: In a bowl, mix together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and garlic powder to create the bang bang sauce.
  2. Coat the Shrimp: Dip shrimp in cornstarch, ensuring they are fully coated.
  3. Heat the Oil: Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat until hot.
  4. Fry the Shrimp: Fry shrimp in batches until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Drain the Shrimp: Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  6. Toss in the Bang Bang Sauce: Toss the fried shrimp in the bang bang sauce until coated.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Serve garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

For a healthier option, consider baking the shrimp instead of frying. Adjust the sriracha level for desired heat.
