A delicious and easy blackened salmon recipe with a crispy exterior and tender inside, seasoned with a blend of spices.

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the spice mixture: In a bowl, mix paprika, thyme, oregano, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Season the salmon: Coat the salmon fillets with the spice mixture on both sides.
  3. Heat the skillet: Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook the salmon: Add the seasoned salmon fillets to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until beautifully blackened.
  5. Serve hot: Serve the salmon fillets hot, perhaps with a squeeze of lemon on top.
